Life Sciences
In spite of the fact that remarkable technological advances in the treatment of many diseases have been made over the last several decades, millions of patients continue to suffer from illnesses that are unsatisfactorily or inadequately treated.
Our Life Sciences group will consider investments in the healthcare sector, broadly defined. We generally prefer "product model" companies, but will also consider novel platform technologies.
We are especially interested in:
- Emerging Pharmaceuticals (small molecule therapeutics, biopharmaceuticals and cell therapy)
- Medical devices
- "Convergence" products (therapeutic products that combine various technologies from disparate fields to solve specific problems in life sciences)
